Beaumond House is a registered
charity committed to providing supportive palliative care to
patients and their families living in Newark and district, an area
of approximately 15 miles radius. We have 4 beds for respite care
and 11 day care places each week day. We are fully registered with
the Commission for Social Care.
Our Executive Care Manager, Christine Smith (SRN) manages the
dedicated team of staff and volunteers who offer physical,
emotional, social and spiritual support to patients and their
families. Our staff team includes: care, catering, housekeeping,
chaplains, administration, fund-raising, and complementary
therapies. We are supported very significantly by volunteers in day
care, fund-raising, a coffee bar at the local Magistrates’ Court and
our two charity shops, in Newark and Southwell. All their
contributions are invaluable.
A Board of Directors, who are all volunteers, hold the ultimate
responsibility for the hospice, the policy decisions and finances.
