About Beaumond House

Beaumond House Community Hospice is a registered charity committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients and their families living in Newark and district, an area of approximately 15 miles radius (see map).

We have 4 beds for respite care, 11 day care places each week day and offer nursing care in the community. We are fully registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Our Head of Clinical Services, Jenny Wilson (SRN) manages the dedicated team of staff and volunteers who offer physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to patients and their families. Our staff team includes: care, catering, housekeeping, chaplains, administration, fund-raising, and complementary therapies.

We are supported very significantly by volunteers in day care, fund-raising, a coffee bar at the local Magistrates' Court and our two charity shops, in Newark and Southwell. All their contributions are invaluable.

A Board of Directors, who are all volunteers, hold the ultimate responsibility for the hospice, the policy decisions and finances.
