Gift in your will

Will you join the growing number of people who are supporting Beaumond House Community Hospice by leaving us a gift in your Will? These gifts are vital to fund our increasing running
costs and help us to continue providing our special
services to the local community. 1 in 5 of our patients is currently funded by legacy donations.

How will your gift help?

Beaumond House Community Hospice has been helping people suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses since 1992. Over the years we have helped many patients and their families cope with the stress these illnesses can bring. Hospice care is free and we continually need donations to enable us to carry on with this important work.

Why make a will?

Making a Will is one of the most important things we should do, but despite this, many of us die without having made one. This can mean lengthy legal delays, and an additional burden to the loved ones who are left to deal with your estate. If you make a Will, YOU will decide who receives your money and possessions,
without a Will the Government will decide. To ensure your legacy goes to those people you wish to receive it, make a will. It is then very important to keep your Will up to date, so check it every few years to ensure it still reflects your wishes.

Making a will and leaving a legacy

Making a Will is easy and once it’s done you can relax in the knowledge that all your affairs will be in order. Beaumond House recommend you contact a qualified solicitor to help draw up your Will. If you feel able to remember us in your Will we shall be deeply grateful. Your gift will ensure we are still here in years to come, working with patients and families to help improve the quality of their lives in their time of need. If you would like to leave a legacy to Beaumond House Community Hospice please
contact a solicitor who will advise you on how to make one of the following bequests:

Pecuniary - a set amount of money.
Specific - possessions such as stocks, shares, items of jewellery.
Residuary - which allows you to remember loved ones and give a percentage to charity. This is often the most effective. Your solicitor will be able to help you in making your decision.

Did you know that leaving a legacy
could save you money?

Any money left to a charity is tax free and will therefore help to reduce the tax liability on your estate. This could save your beneficiaries money and at the same time help your community.

We shall not be forgotten if you remember us.

Please care enough to leave us a legacy so that we may continue to provide care to those in need of our help. A gift in your will is a wonderful way to ensure your kindness will help future generations.
