Dragon Boat Race 2019 Extras
Dragon boat racing is the fastest growing water activity in Britain today – as well as the most fun! Up to 10 people paddle each 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time. No previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit!

About the event
To help to make your day as fantastic as we can we have put together a number of packages and extras for you. Please take a few minutes to look through the list, chat with your team mates, and tick the boxes to book the extras of your choice.

No previous experience of dragon boat racing is required to take part in the festival but if you want to get the upper hand on the competition, book a training package with one of our experts!
2 x 1-hour sessions – held at Loughborough Boat Club, Hathern, Nr Loughborough, LE12 5JN. A typical training session consists of some Olympic style paddling, race start and stop drills, power and speed tactics, dry land safety briefing and generally getting used to the boat.
Get your team registered for pre-race training session so you can paddle past the competition. Spaces are limited so be quick if you want to be in with a better chance of becoming the Champions of Newark Dragon Boat Festival 2019!

We are offering a limited number of crew gazebos for hire. Each high quality unit measures 3mx3m. The gazebos will be situated in a good position overlooking the race course and will provide an ideal base for your crew as well as shelter in case of inclement weather (or from the hot sun!) The gazebos will be delivered & erected for you before the event and taken away at the end. We have managed to negotiate an excellent rate with our supplier and are providing them at cost plus a small admin fee
