In Loving Memory of Ian Crowther

(8th December 1940 - 21st March 2004)

My Dad lit up a room with his big smile, fun-loving nature and zest of life.  I still miss him terribly, even though it is now 15 years since he died from advanced lung cancer only a few months after his diagnosis.  It was a terrible time for him, my Mum Pauline, myself and my two sisters and all the rest of those of us who knew and loved him.  We would have found this dark time so much easier to cope with had we had the type of support that Beaumond House offers. It is because of this that I became determined to develop my own skills as a doctor to train in palliative and End of Life Care.  I can now use my increased knowledge to help improve services for others in the Newark and Mid Notts area and donate my time to serve Beaumond House on it's Board of Trustees.

This is part of Dad's legacy for others.  His giving nature would approve.  His zest for life lives on in me and I know he would be proud that I'm wanting to share it with others. Why not join me by adding your thoughts to that legacy? Please help us by donating via my Just Giving page in his memory.
