During August I had the opportunity to walk Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire. I walked just over 200 miles and raised a few funds for the hospice in the process. It was a wonderful opportunity for reflection, and it helped me appreciate the magnificent efforts that so many people undertake both to deliver care and also to help raise funds for the hospice.
As well as treks, people do cycle rides, coffee mornings, challenge events such as jumping out of a plane, and various competitions and other amazing fundraising initiatives. The creativity and dedication of those who year on year raise funds for us cannot be underestimated. Thank you to everyone every donation, all funds raised help us provide hospice care to people at a crucially important time.
