Will you be joining us for our second annual Easter Fun Day and Chicken Run?

An Easter Fun Day and Chicken Run is set to come to Newark for a second year.

On Friday, March 29, Newark Market Place will host a fun day for Beaumond House Hospice Care.

From 10am to 3pm, there will be a variety of activities including inflatables, Easter crafts, face painting, teddy tombola, crazy golf, biscuit decorating, egg and spoon races and a disco.

Visitors can also take part in a 2.5km Chicken Run involving optional Easter-themed fancy dress and chocolate eggs collection.

Matt Colbourne, head of fundraising and communications, said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting our second Easter Fun Day in Newark, which will offer an exciting family day out over the Easter weekend.

“With a number of indoor and outdoor activities on offer, there will be something for everyone, come rain or shine and we look forward to seeing lots of impressive fancy dress costumes for the Chicken Run.

“Not only will the event provide an opportunity for the community to come together for some Easter fun, but it will also raise vital funds to allow us to continue providing specialist palliative care and support to our patients and their families.”

It costs around £1.7m every year to deliver services and around £1.2m of this must be raised through donations.

Wristbands for the Easter Fun Day cost £8 per child. Entry to the Chicken Run is £10 and £5 for children.

Tickets can be bought online and with 20% discount if bought in advance here.
