Exciting times ahead for Beaumond House Fundraising

The Beaumond House 2022 event calendar is jam packed full of new and exciting fundraising challenges and events; a memory walk, biking challenge, and shark dive to name a few.

The fundraising team are optimistic that the year ahead will provide plenty of opportunities for the local community support the hospice in a variety of fun ways.

Two new staff members have recently been welcomed into the fundraising team: Melissa Gaffney, Fundraising Events Manager, and Toni Borg, Community Engagement Manager. Both Melissa and Toni bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the team, promising great things for the hospice fundraising.

Melissa (pictured left) says “Hi, I’m Melissa and I’m Beaumond House Hospice’s new Fundraising Events Manager and I’ve been in post since the start of January.

My passion is turning empty spaces into amazing event experiences and delivering unique opportunities for our fundraisers to do something amazing for Hospice care.

I’ve seen first-hand the difference Hospice care offers people receiving care, and the impact the support can have for families who are bereaved. Hospices aren’t just a place for someone to die, they bring out the joy, heart and soul of each person, giving them somewhere with dignity and compassion in their final moments.

Our fundraisers are all heroes; they have the courage and so much passion to do something challenging, bonkers, scary and exciting all at the same time that allows us to continue to deliver compassionate, professional and personal care to the people who need it most in our community.

I can’t wait to meet many more fundraisers and offer them some of the best experiences in the world.

Beaumond House Hospice will be launching fundraising favourites such as a skydive and Wing Walk, as well as exciting new events like cycling events and swimming with sharks. We can’t wait to have you on board and fundraising with us in 2022”.

Toni (pictured right) says“ I am Toni the new Community Engagement Manager here at Beaumond House Hospice.

I look forward to bringing Beaumond House direct to the local Community and working together with partners and individuals to create strong ties and connections that will continue to grow and flourish.

Over the next few months we continue to build our wonderful volunteer family and are delighted to bring in our new corporate volunteers.

Exciting Community events will soon be underway and I look forward to working with the people and partners of the Newark community.

If you see me out and about in Newark please say hello and find out what we have happening at Beaumond House or if you wish to be part of our wonderful volunteer family, who we will be celebrating this year for volunteers week with our own jubilee volunteer tea and cake garden party don't hesitate to get in touch”.

Full details of the new events and challenges and fundraising activities will be launched shortly via local press and the hospice website as well as their social media pages.
