BANK Facilities Assistant
Bank contract (0 hour) – as required, flexible including occasional weekends or evenings
Beaumond House Hospice Care, Newark
Role Purpose
To provide hands-on support to the Facilities Lead, helping maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment at Beaumond House Hospice Care and its retail locations.
This role involves undertaking manual and practical tasks, including minor repairs, fittings, and general maintenance, ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of all facilities.
Skills, Experience and Attributes Required

Good physical fitness – role requires lifting, bending, and manual handling.

A respectful and compassionate approach is essential, as you will be working in and around areas where patients and families are present.

Experience in general maintenance and facilities support is preferred.

Practical skills in basic DIY tasks (e.g., using tools safely, assembling furniture, making small repairs).

Proactive and helpful attitude with a willingness to learn.

Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Ability to support colleagues and build good working relationships at all levels

Retail Facilities Lead
25 hours per week, worked flexibly across Mon-Fri
£14.05 per hour
Beaumond House Hospice Care, Newark
Role Purpose
To ensure the effective day-to-day facilities management of all Beaumond House retail locations.
We currently have five sites but are actively working on expanding this. The primary focus of this role is to focus on maintaining safe, functional, and compliant retail environments, overseeing health and safety, risk assessments, repairs, audits, and contractor coordination, while being a visible, customer-facing member of the team.
Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential requirements

Knowledge of or willingness to undertake training in PAT testing, fire safety, manual handling, COSHH, infection control, and RIDDOR.

Good working knowledge of facilities or property management (preferably in a retail or public setting).

Ability to plan and prioritise workload across multiple sites with minimal supervision.

Strong practical skills for small repairs and basic maintenance. Practical skills and experience in basic decorating, painting and installing fixtures.

Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with the public and volunteers.

Awareness of confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding principles.

Experience of health and safety responsibilities and documentation.

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits is essential.

Competent in using digital systems for logging compliance, maintenance scheduling and reporting.
