Marathon Runners

Why I'm running for Beaumond House

Running generally gives me a sense of freedom, clears my head, eases stress and provides a level of physical challenge. When running I get chance to think and reflect and often come up with ideas and solutions to work problems when away from the desk and in a more mentally friendly place.

The mental benefits for me are above the physical benefits, although the two go hand in hand as if you are physically fit you are more likely to be mentally fit

Beaumond House provide an incredible service at the most difficult time for patients and their families. The professionalism ,dedication and compassion they show in delivering their service is worthy of every bit of effort, and at times discomfort that any runner will experience in training for and undertaking any long-distance running event.

The associated fundraising is critical in supporting Beaumond House in continuing to deliver their exceptional services. I would encourage anyone considering entering Newark Half Marathon to use the opportunity to help raise funds for this amazing local Charity.
