Beaumond House Hospice Care has received a significant boost thanks to generous donations from the Newark Farmers Ball Committee and Newark 41 Club and Newark Round Table, who together have contributed £11,000 to support the charity's vital services.

The Newark Farmers Ball Committee has donated £10,000 following the success of its recent activities.

Committee Secretary Ian Phillips, who is pictured presenting the donation to Simon Machin, Director of Beaumond House, said:

"Newark Farmers Ball Committee are delighted to be able to make a donation of £10,000 to Beaumond House. Whilst we do not aim to make a profit on our events, we do aim to cover our costs and when a surplus arises we are delighted to be able to return money into the local community.

We are very proud to be able to support the tremendous work that Beaumond House does in our area and we wish them all the best for the future."

In a separate donation, Newark 41 Club and Newark Round Table presented £1,000 to Beaumond House, raised through their annual Carol Float collections.

Nick Whiles, Chairman of Newark 41 Club, Stephen Neale, President of Newark Round Table and Ian Phillips, 41 Club Secretary, are pictured with Simon Machin following the presentation.

Nick said:

"The weather was pretty poor last Christmas but the people of Newark and surrounding areas came out to support our efforts and we are delighted to be able to support Beaumond House and the tremendous work they do in our local community.

We are delighted to be able to support them in this way and wish them all the best for the future."

Simon Machin, Director of Beaumond House Hospice Care, thanked all three organisations for their generosity.

"We are incredibly grateful to the Newark Farmers Ball Committee, Newark 41 Club and Newark Round Table for their outstanding support. These donations will help us continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and families across our community. The commitment shown by local organisations and residents makes a real difference to the people who rely on our services."

The donations demonstrate the strength of community spirit across Newark and the continued support for Beaumond House's work caring for people living with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families.
