Making your donations worth even more
As our shops gradually return to normal we are once again overwhelmed by the generosity of the supporters who donate goods for us to sell.
Our shops would not exist without this support and we would like to take the opportunity not only to thank everyone who supports our shops but also to tell you how your donations could raise significantly more money for us.
We operate the Retail Gift Aid system in all three of our shops which means that once signed up, your donations could be worth 25% more when sold.
This is because for every £1 we raise by selling a gift aided item we can claim 25p on the donor’s behalf from HMRC. This makes a massive difference to our fundraising. Signing up to the scheme and becoming a gift-aider can be done by completing a simple declaration form in any of our shops.
To be eligible for gift aid you must pay either UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax and then just complete the gift aid declaration form for us.
