After all the action of coronation week, Beaumond House will be hosting a relaxing Open Day for everyone on Saturday, 13th May complete with the chance to try holistic therapy.
The much-loved community hospice on London Road will be opening its doors and garden between 10am and 2pm and offering a range of activities, including 15-minute Massage, Reflexology and Reiki therapy session to help you feel calm and relaxed.
Visitors will also get to enjoy activities at a craft station, a pop-up shop and stalls to browse. And the wonderful team at Beaumond House will be on hand to have a chat, show you around the hospice and offer advice around will writing and lasting power of attorney.
There will be hot food, homemade soup, cake and refreshments available to enjoy in the garden or in our conservatory.
Beaumond House chief executive Louise Sinclair, said: “The Open Day gives everyone the opportunity to visit their local hospice. We invite people to come and see what we do and how we help the local community. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to welcome you, have a chat and show you round”.
Those wanting to help out at the hospice can find out more about current vacancies and volunteering on the day. There are a wide variety of volunteering roles available, from helping in the kitchen and driving to supporting at events and lending a hand in shops.
Carrie Boughtwood of APT Legal will be on hand to chat around matters of Wills and Lasting power of Attorney.
