This January has been a big month for Stodman Street. On 10th January, we closed our doors for a long-awaited refurbishment, following a week of enormous fun with a big clearance sale that was enjoyed by staff and customers alike.
Our final day was lots of fun, with bargains flying out all day long. Once the doors closed, the real work began and the process of taking the shop apart got underway.
With the help of our builder, we stripped the space back to bare walls and began rebuilding a bright, fresh and welcoming shop. Behind the scenes, we are now working hard to refill and carefully lay out our newly refreshed space.
Our volunteers are excited to be working in such a fresh new space, and we’re confident our customers will love it just as much when we reopen.
Our trustees also played their part, spending a morning sorting through new stock, while several of our volunteers have been busy helping with the restocking process.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming our customers back as soon as possible into our newly transformed shop.
Moving forward, we’ll be operating in more of a boutique style, with our usual tempting selection of lovely clothes, shoes and accessories.
Of course, there will still be a book corner and some bric-a-brac, alongside special vintage finds and those little treasures that remind us why choosing to reuse is always the right decision.
Come and visit us when we reopen, you never know what you might find.

Shop Manager - Stodman Street Charity Shop
