With thanks to our Big Give Christmas Challenge supporters, Beaumond House raised an amazing £11,403.75 in just one week.
You helped us to exceed our target of £7,500 to support the ‘Home is where our heart is this Christmas’ campaign. The campaign aimed to support terminally ill patients to have one last Christmas at home.
The campaign was supported by a number of local businesses that each pledged their support; our thanks go to Academy Systems Ltd, APT Legal, Derry Ltd, The Federation of Small Businesses, Norwood Park Golf Club, Soapology, Simply Sweet Ltd and Wrigleprint.
These pledges, along with support from The Reed Foundation made up a match funding pot which enabled your donations to be doubled.
The match funding pot was very quickly used up and our original target of £7,500 was reached in the first 24 hours.
The Hospice at Home team offered 150 hours of support, to 32 terminally ill patients in their homes during the Christmas and New Year period.
This level of care, and additional support offered to both the patients and their families, ensured that these patients were able to spend time at home, rather than being in hospital over the festive period.
Thank you to our pledgers, and donors, your support really does make a difference.
