A huge thank you goes out to all volunteers at Beaumond House Hospice Care this week as we celebrate Volunteers’ Week.
The hospice has more than 150 volunteers. Volunteer co-ordinator Lucy Millard said she feels fortunate to have such a wonderful team who help out in so many ways.
“We really couldn’t manage without them,” she said.
“They make such a huge difference to the hospice and we are really grateful for everything they do.”
Head of clinical care Louise Sinclair said the pandemic meant that Beaumond House has not seen many of the volunteers for more than a year.
But now restrictions are lifting, and many people have had their vaccine, the charity is able to start to invite volunteer back.
“We are always thrilled and amazed by the time our volunteers give,” she said.
“We are supported in all areas of the hospice and are blessed with volunteers who have skills they have gathered in their working life and through life experiences.”
