Please join us for a ‘death café’ style evening to take part in conversation about death, dying and funerals on Thursday 1st June at the YMCA Newark and Sherwood Community and Activity Village between 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
Topics for discussion could be where you wish to die, what your funeral plans will be, how you feel about death, why is it still such a taboo to talk about.
Join us in an accessible, respectful, and confidential space.
Our aim being to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their lives and prepare for the end of their life.
A group of staff and volunteers from Beaumond House hospice will be on hand to listen and guide discussion, letting you reach your own conclusions.
The team have experience with death and dying, grief and bereavement, soul midwifery and helping plan for the end of life.
The event is free to attend and you don't need to book.
