Beaumond House Hospice Care’s Southwell charity shop recently relocated to 5-7 Westgate, and the hospice is very grateful for the support it has received from the local community.
The shop is now fully stocked with high-quality men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, as well as bric-a-brac, books, and accessories. The funds raised from the shop enable Beaumond House to provide personalised, compassionate care to patients and their families.
Louise Sinclair CEO said
“We are so grateful for every donation we receive and every purchase made in our shops which directly contribute to the care we provide for people with life-limiting conditions, both in their own homes and at Beaumond House.”
Donations are very welcome, and items can be dropped off Monday to Saturday between 9:00am and 4:00pm, where donors can also sign up for Gift Aid to help maximise the funds raised from their donations by an extra 25%.
With the shop now in full swing, Beaumond House is welcoming new volunteers who can serve customers, sort stock or help create displays.
Longtime volunteer Cynthia Woolley, who had the honour of cutting the ribbon at the shop opening, encourages people to consider becoming a volunteer.
Cynthia says
“Volunteering is such a rewarding experience. It’s a great way to meet new people, give back to the community, and support a cause that makes a real impact.”
If you would be interested in volunteering, please contact David Payne, Volunteer Coordinator on 01636 610556 or email here.
Beaumond House invites all members of the community to visit the shop, whether to browse, donate, explore volunteering opportunities or find out how we support our community as your local hospice.
