Firstly, we wish to thank everyone for being so helpful with the various levels of restrictions we have asked for support with over the last 3 years.
The current advice follows.
Please do not visit the hospice if you are unwell or have any symptoms of COVID-19.
Transmissible viruses such as flu, other respiratory viruses and norovirus can be just as dangerous to our patients as COVID-19. If you have any symptoms that suggest you may have other transmissible viruses and infections, such as a cough, high temperature, diarrhoea or vomiting, please avoid visiting, if possible, until 48 hours after you feel well.
There are exceptions where this is to visit a patient in the final days of life and this needs to be discussed with the nurse in charge.
We would kindly ask all visitors to continue to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitiser regularly while they are in the hospice.
We are asking for people to wear PPE only when we have any suspected or confirmed cases of transmissible infections such as Covid 19. The nursing staff will advise on this case by case.
There is no restriction on the total number of visitors that a patient can receive or the timing of visits but it is helpful to stagger visits.
